VIVE Magazine!

How cool is this?! Vive Magazine has asked me to write a blog for their online magazine! They have a regular magazine too, but I will be writing online. So what will I write about? I can't do my regular blog stuff. I mean I don't think the Sophisticated Florida Woman wants to know about how many fish I've killed or my grocery list. I guess I will talk about clothes/shoes and celebs and travel and food.

NYC!!!!

Hunter and I went to NYC over the weekend and had the BEST time!!! Here are a few of the hightlights!

Weekend Fun!

The GENERAL LEE was getting a new sound system! We saw it at the Swap Shop in Ft. Lauderdale. Don't ask me why, but I LOVE THAT PLACE!!! The guys who tinted my windows last time recognized me....That was 2 months ago....odd, yet flattering.

This is - I'm assuming - where they keep the Goodyear Blimp. We saw it from 95 and drove over...it was closed...booo.

Nothing says cute like H Pizzle and a Pelican.

And to top off our afternoon, we drove by Bernie Madoff's Palm Beach home and yelled JERK out of the window. OK, it was just me who yelled it.

Hunter was embarrassed.

WAX MUSEUM

Today at Hunter's school, they had a Wax Museum! All the kids picked someone famous, then pretended to be wax figures. When someone would tap them, they would come to life and tell a few facts! No, Hunter did not choose to be a crazy Amish person....he was Abe Lincoln. Here he was modeling his costume at home with his Willy Wonka glasses on!


He gave away pennies to all the kids that tapped him and I think I few tapped him numerous times as he had about 225 pennies and was out of them very quickly!



Mimi and Pop were visiting, so we were lucky enough to get our pics with Honest Hunter...I mean Abe.

I am SO excited about this show!!! It's April 9th premiere on NBC can't get here fast enough!

IMDB has the plot as: The abstract antics of an Indiana town's public officials as they pursue random projects to make their city a better place.

My sister Tami is actually WORKING on the show! What a totally cool job to have! Everyday I pester her to tell me what they're doing on the set. She won't tell me anything top secret, but will tell me what Amy is wearing. ok, not really. It's so fun to hear about her days. One day she got to drive Amy and co-star Rashida Jones around town to do something. I forget what it was...I was so in awe that Tami was in A CAR WITH AMY POEHLER!

*****UPDATE******Tami just told me they INVITED her to ride in the limo with them...it wasn't just a casual ride around town! Man...to live in Tami's shoes for just one day. Tami says...and I quote.... "it was like the cool kids inviting you over during lunch...it was like the MOMENT....i became a COMEDIC ROCKSTAR entourage member."

As you can tell....I'm a HUGE fan of Amy's! How can you not love her as Hillary Clinton???

Weekend Update??

The voice of The Mighty B??

I have my DVR set to record all Mighty B shows on Nick....yep, I really do!

So for the next few weeks I just have to sit patiently and wait for the show to PREMIERE!!!

How GREAT is Daylight Saving Time???

I love it, I love it, I LOVE IT! It's like you're getting out of work an hour earlier! I work til 7 and of course during the winter months, I leave the radio station when it's dark. Very depressing. It always seems so late and there is nothing to do but get ready to go to bed. But with the extra hour and with the sun beginning to set later, it will be added value to the day! Maybe take a bike ride with Hunter when I get home, maybe go fishing, maybe take a walk...who knows!

All I do know is that I don't think we should have to do the opposite ever again. I mean, wasn't Daylight Saving Time for farmers or something? Well, all farmers have tractors with lights on them now, so they can work longer anyway. I'm sure I am totally wrong...let me look it up on Wikipedia.....hold please.....
